Current live satellite images: weather from space

Explore continuously updated weather satellite images from GOES, Meteosat, Himawari, NOAA, METOP, Suomi-NPP and Fengyun. The imagery shows clouds, storms, infrared weather products, dust, fire and volcanic ash across Europe, Africa, the Americas, the Atlantic, the Pacific and the Asia-Pacific region.

The data is received directly or through my own EUMETCast ground station. From around 831 GB of raw data per day, selected weather images are decoded and assembled locally before being published on this page.

Current live satellite images and weather maps

This overview combines geostationary full-disk imagery with recent passes from polar-orbiting weather satellites, including GOES-18 and GOES-19, Meteosat-9 and Meteosat-10, Himawari-9, Fengyun FY-2G, FY-2H and FY-3D, METOP-B and METOP-C, NOAA-20 and NOAA-21, and Suomi-NPP.

How current are the images?

New imagery appears after reception and local processing. Update times vary by satellite and product.

Which regions are covered?

The imagery covers Europe, Africa, the Americas, the Atlantic, the Pacific, the Indian Ocean and the Asia-Pacific region.

Are these real live images?

These are regularly updated satellite images and timelapses, not live video streams. They show weather conditions close to real time.
